We are so blessed to celebrate the beautiful step of baby dedication together. Baby dedication is more than a moment—it is a commitment from parents and a pledge from our church family to raise and support children in the ways of the Lord.

Scripture gives us the foundation for this practice. Hannah presented Samuel to God (1 Samuel 1:28), Joseph and Mary presented Jesus (Luke 2:22), and Paul reminded Timothy that from infancy he had known the Holy Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:15). Jesus Himself declared, “Let the little children come to me… for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14, NIV).

The heart of dedication is not only about the child, but about the parents. They are committing to raise their child in God’s Word, model godliness in the home, and lead them toward knowing Jesus as Savior. As a congregation, we join in this charge by surrounding them with love, prayer, encouragement, and the truth of God’s Word. Together we say, “We do.”

This sacred partnership reminds us all of our responsibility to the next generation. Through dedication, we believe God’s blessing rests on the child’s life—assurance of His love, protection, favor, courage, and faith.

We thank the Lord for families who take this step, and we rejoice that our church family can stand with them. Truly, these moments remind us of the joy and hope of raising children in the presence of God.
